Mark Coppleman

"I HAVE been with DeBruyn’s now for 19 years, so that says a lot I reckon!" Mark Coppleman from Launceston told us.

"However you look at it, they are a good honest family company to work for, they look after you, run good gear, and there is a heap of variety and it’s all general freight!"

We caught up with him at Kempton when he dropped in for a cuppa and he was driving DeBruyn’s 2011 460 Hp FM Volvo, and was towing plantation timber from Huonville on his return home to Launceston, then unload, fuel up and get ready for next week before knocking off for a welcome weekend.

"I’ve been on the road about 35 years or so all up now, and it’s always been a good job, well mostly, and I have never had any serious regrets, I mean I am still running up and down the highway aren’t I?"

When asked about time off, he told us it was ideally spent with family, caravanning, camping and fishing.
