GREG Little was transporting whitegoods for stores such as Harvey Norman when Big Rigs saw him at the BP Cluden on the outskirts of Townsville, in the midday sun.
Quietly spoken Greg drives a Scania for QLS of Brisbane.
“I am headed for the Atherton Tablelands and will be dropping items off along the way at places like Ingham,” he said.
The 62-year-old rates the highway around Yamba as the one he dislikes driving. “It is very rough along there,” he said. When off-duty, Greg enjoys fishing. “I catch whiting, some bream, tailor and a few other species,” he said.
With 37 years experience as a truckie, Greg is well qualified to have a few complaints about what displeases him.
These include a few of the pet hates shared by many behind the wheel.
“Tourists on the roads who slow down without warning are a danger, and caravans,” he said.
