Kiwis have Coretex system ready for EWD launch in Australia
KEVIN Johnson of Coretex is from New Zealand, but we won’t hold that against him, given EnZed has supplied Oz with a few decent actors, some great bands and one or two more than handy race horses which we like to call ‘our own’.
Could it be that they will also be top-of-the-pops with their version of the EWD?
Kevin and compatriot, Rohan Desilva came to Megatrans to talk to the NHVR about their development of the Electronic Work Diary.
“Coretex is a New Zealand headquartered telematics company, operating in Australia, New Zealand and the US.
“We have just recently competed the electronic logging device for the mandate in the US which covers some three and a half million trucks,” Kevin said.
“When we developed that, we always had in mind the coming rule changes in Australia and how we could migrate the system here.
“We have been talking to the NHVR about how we’re actually going to do that and giving them a heads up of what we have for the US and how we going to adapt it to meet the Australian requirements.
“The system we have developed will allow us to make any necessary changes to our system very quickly, and be market-ready in a very short space of time.”
