Few fans of Ulmarra speed limits

THE SPEED LIMIT in the New South Wales town Ulmarra, on the Pacific Highway, has changed following months of community campaigning to make the road through their town safer for residents and road users.

Truckies weren’t glowing in their praise of the new speed limit.

Bruce Skelton: “Speed limit is not the problem the narrow road and motorists trying to park at coffee vans.” Brian Patrick: “Drove through there again last night and where did they have the speed camera set up right in the guts of town, pretty smart eh, would have thought it would be better in the new speed zones.”

Brian Patrick: “I drive through there every weekend in a B-double and can’t see what the problem is.” Bradley Dunham: “Wow that will save lives won’t it, if it’s such a black spot then it should of been bypassed 20 years ago.”
