Texas showcase turns it on
THREE days at a truck show may sound like a day too long for many, until that is you are lucky enough to attend The Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas.
The 19th annual event at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Centre was billed as the biggest and best yet, and it didn’t disappoint for Big Rigs and the six lucky winners in the Shell Rimula Rewards Program who were flown to the US to attend the event and other Dallas attractions.
From the health pavilion with its free kidney testing – where this writer discovered he needs to lose a few kilos asap – to more than 500 manufacturers spruiking over 50 product categories, the challenge was finding the time to get around them all.
Here’s just a taste of what you’ll find on show.
