Bruce Livingston and AJ Kay

IT’S always a great pleasure to catch up with Bruce Livingston and his crew, and the other day we enjoyed a chat with him and AJ Kay up at the Epping Forest Caltex between showers, and jobs, when we all stopped over there for a welcome hot coffee and refreshment break.

AJ was in the familiar Livingston Isuzu NPR rigid along with his passenger for the day, Kewlio the bulldog, and Bruce in his 2006 Toyota Hiace VVTI and both were about to head home to Hobart from Launceston with the usual drops and pick-ups on the way south.

AJ tells us he has been driving for Bruce now for 12 good months and says he loves the job, and reckons he has a great boss to work with.

He added that he believes he and Bruce, and Kewlio, make a great and effective team, and that making their priority of reliable customer service keeps their clients loyal and happy, as well as making the job more enjoyable.

Bruce asked us to please share his heartfelt condolences to the wife, family and friends of the late Les Simpkon from Goodwood, his long-term family friend, and popular and fondly remembered Tasmanian truck driver and yard foreman.

We would also like to add our sincere condolences on behalf of Big Rigs, and add that he will be sadly missed by us all.
