Truckies help nab bad driver
TRUCK drivers who called in information about a “risk-taking car driver” were praised for their actions by NSW Police Traffic and Highway Patrol Command Chief Inspector Phillip Brooks.
Drivers called in a complaint about a Mazda sedan that was involved in an accident on the Newell Highway at Bellata.
Truckies said they didn’t have a problem with helping take “idiots like this” off the roads.
Keith Morrell said he didn’t mind co-operating with the “coppas”, but said “it would be good if the same respect was returned more often”.
Bob Prideaux reckons more effort should be made to foster this co-operation.
Maree Densley wanted cops to sit in a truck with her to see behaviour first-hand.
“There are words to describe some drivers!”
