MY, isn’t she a beauty.

Drake Collectables unveiled its 60th anniversary diecast model during Drake Trailers Australia’s 60th anniversary open day celebrations in Wacol.

The model in question was an award-winning Kenworth C509 truck, with a Drake iconic 2x8 dolly and a 3x8 open drop deck trailer. It was featured in a chrome finish with detailed painting.

Drake Collectables boss Bruce Hey said the trailer was modelled off designs from the ’90s.

“It’s something completely different that we haven’t produced before,” he said.

“We’re known throughout the world for our highquality replicas, we’re possibly the market leader, and we wanted to produce something that was different to what we’ve done before, something that would stand out so people would notice, and I think we’ve achieved this.”

There are 350 models of the anniversary model and each comes with a special photograph commemorating the anniversary, as well as a Kenworth and Drake sales brochure, an original 1970s advertisement, a commemorative booklet and individually numbered compliance plates made for worldwide distribution.
