AUDIO REIGN

Find Your Way Independent

Blunt - - In Review -

If rock’n’roll is rebellious, then Audio Reign are the kids who get to hang around to feel cool by association before getting home at a reasonable hour. There’s nothing particularly bad about their brand of radio-friendly ‘90s melodic rock, but the four-piece are reluctant to leave their musical safe zone. While the other kids are pushing their music into new and challenging areas, Audio Reign have found something that’s not too hard and settled in that spot. Decent guitar solos, powerful vocals and a few reasonably heavy riffs kick the EP into gear, and occasionally Audio Reign build up the confidence to let their creative instincts unleash with a few techy twists. But there’s a general reluctance to commit, a sense of trepidation that seems to force the band into producing something that they know has helped past bands make it big.
