Blunt - - A Day To Remember -

e vital shit: Anberlin, e Wonder Years, Goatwhore, Biff y Clyro, and more.

Who is in your band?

Howard Noise ( guitar); Wayne Falzon ( guitar); Lee Elliott ( drums); Billie- Jade Hastings ( vocals, bass, keys).

What’s your story?

I grew up with musicians around me and started playing different instruments really early. It all started with piano, then bass, then guitar, and I have always been singing. The music I listened to just got heavier and heavier over the years. I have done everything from session music for kids’ shows through to metal. I think if you limit yourself to one style or genre you are limiting your potential, so I have tried to learn as much as I can and everything I have learned I have tried to add to our overall sound.

Why should we check out your band?

If you like original music that is powerful, catchy and heavy, you will love Diamond Noir. Our debut EP, Monsters, has heavy anthems, rock sing- alongs and melodic, dark, moving moments. Check it out!

When did you realise being in a band was the best way to waste time?

I left home when I was 16 years old to join my first band, and from that point in my life I have never looked back; it’s just been one adventure after the next. I love it because I get to do what I truly love with some of my best friends.

You’ll like us if you listen to…

In This Moment, Asking Alexandria, Deftones, Fear Factory, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, and Janis Joplin. There are different flavours from pop to modern metal genres and in between.

Who would you be stoked to share the stage with?

I would love to share the stage with Rob Zombie. I have toured with Marilyn Manson in my last band but I would love to do a collaboration with Manson on a song one day as well.

What’s your favourite place to play?

Festival Hall in Melbourne. I have watched so many bands there and played there a few times in my last band. It brings back so many great memories.

When will you know you’ve made it?

When I’m touring 10 months of every year and I don’t have to carry my own rig on stage.

Why should we check out your new EP?

Monsters is a world class EP recorded in LA with Logan Mader ( Ex- Machine Head/ Soulfly guitarist). Howard Noise and myself spent a month in LA with Logan working on it and it has a very current US sound with some Euro influences. It is totally original and new; there’s nothing out there like it and it is only the beginning of what’s to come.
