Constricting Rage Of The Merciless Metal Blade/ Rocket

Blunt - - In Review - BRENDAN CRABB

It’s a delicate tightrope to walk, being crushingly heavy and delving into harrowing lyrical themes while subsequently retaining a potent catchiness. It’s a trick, though, that these analogue-leaning New Orleans bruisers continue to make seem effortless. Furthering their bile- spitting hybrid, these diseased hymns deliriously take cues from thrash’s peak, Entombed’s death’ n’ roll, traditionalist black metal and Celtic Frost’s monolithic gloom to create one mighty unholy union. Whiplash- inducing tempo changes and charred riffage ought to have diehards and uninitiated alike clutching at invisible oranges. Constricting… bottles Goatwhore’s live intensity like a petrol bomb.
