Where are you from?
Who is in your band? Rowan Mullett- Treloar ( drums); James Toohey ( guitar); Sam Reale ( bass); Ben
Dowd ( vocals, guitar).
Who are some of your influences? Little bits of everything really. When we first started the band we had a handful of artists we really admired which inevitably dripped down into our own music. I guess basically anything Jack White has done, The Vines, Band Of Skulls, The Black Keys, The Libertines and Black Rebel
Tell us about your best show. One that sticks in my mind recently was when we opened for FIDLAR at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney. It was the first time we really took our lighting tech Braiden on tour with us so having visuals was awesome! The sound was awesome, we played well and the crowd were unbelievable which made the whole experience one of my favourite gigs so far.
Tell us about your worst show. Oh god, there’s been a couple. Won’t name
and shame the venue but we played this joint in regional Queensland one time, I’m
pretty sure they had a tiny stage set- up that through the day looked like a TAB. I lost my tuner, we had no money for food, Toohey had to play on the floor, there was no rider, no real PA, we played like arse and to top it off, the crowd kept carrying on wanting to hear AC/ DC covers
thinking we were a cover band.
Tell us about your latest release. The track’s called “Pull The Trigger”. The basic blueprint of the track was written a year- and- a- half ago around the time when we all decided that music was the path that we all really wanted to go with. This song is a reaction to all the bullshit that makes you think about what you’re doing with your early 20s. When it came time for recording, Michael Belsar from Hunting Grounds/ Twinsy came in to produce and we felt he did it justice. slayer or Metallica? Metallica for sure!
