What other names did you consider calling yourselves?
We were thinking about calling ourselves Count Me In, but another band had that, and we liked the idea of a one-word name.
Where are you from and what would be the most recognisable local landmark?
We are from Richmond, Virginia. The nearest recognisable landmark would probably be the James River.
Who is in your band, what do they play and what is their non-musical superpower?
Ollie Baxxter (vocals, perfecter of hair); Dorian Cooke (guitar, vocals, master of mumbles); Niles Gibbs (guitar, vocals, sorcerer of science fiction); Josh Glupker (bass, pounder of beers); Andrew Dunton (drums, coffee connoisseur).
Name your three biggest influences.
Saves The Day, Acceptance, and Comeback Kid.
What’s the usual first topic of conversation when you take a break at rehearsal?
What are we going to get from 7-11?
What’s your pre-show warm-up routine?
Jump around and a few of us partake in adult sodas.
Tell us about your most memorable show.
We played a Halloween show in Richmond with Conditions. We dressed up as Juggalos. It was wild.
What band would you most like to share the stage with?
Probably Acceptance because Phantoms is a flawless record.
What is your latest release and why should we buy it?
Our new album Old Bones came out May 19. This is the first thing we have felt 100 percent confident in putting out and we made sure that we took the time and put in the work to feel that way.
Why are you going to make it to the top over all the other contenders in the musical arena?
Because we started from the bottom and now we here.
