HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS:
Olivia and Chris met as teens and dated for seven years before Chris dropped to his knee to propose during a weekend away. An elegant high-tea bridal shower was held in the bride’s family garden, the same venue chosen for the couple’s classic-themed wedding. “We wanted it to be timeless and simple,” Olivia said. “We chose to put a lot of effort into planning the ceremony as we felt that was definitely the most important part.”
AISLE OF FLOWERS:
A string quartet added to the amazing the atmosphere at the ceremony, which was styled by Pelle’s Events with urns of flowers, an aisle of flower petals and chiffon-draped altar backdrop.
Olivia treasures the moment she first saw Chris at the end of the aisle. “It was everything I had ever imagined. Another vision I often think about was when Chris lifted my veil and I finally saw him clearly — now as my husband.”
The couple opted for a cocktail reception in contrast to their traditional wedding ceremony. “We still kept many of the traditions but took the formal feeling out of the night. It was one big party,” Olivia said.
“Never forget what you are actually doing. It is very easy to get caught up in all the beautiful things that come with a wedding, but the most important part is that you are marrying the love of your life. Everything else is just icing on the cake.”
