Ry­der ready to bring a high-energy show

Coun­try per­former Ray Ry­der will rock his way through the Kim­ber­ley this week as part of his Bringin’ it to the Coun­try tour with his four-piece band.

The WA singer-song­writer has just re­turned from the home of coun­try mu­sic, Nashville, Ten­nessee, where he li­aised with Keith Ur­ban’s for­mer man­ager and played a se­ries of show­case per­for­mances.

The coun­try rocker has a busy sched­ule while in the Kim­ber­ley, start­ing at the Man­grove Ho­tel in Broome at 7pm tonight.

Ry­der will travel to Derby for the Moon­rise Rock Fes­ti­val on Satur­day, with shows in Fitzroy Cross­ing, Halls Creek, Balgo, Mu­lan and Wyn­d­ham to fol­low.

He will also run a se­ries of free mu­sic work­shops at se­lected shows.

“I am ex­cited to be tak­ing my new songs on the road with my band, cre­at­ing a fun, energy-filled show­case of orig­i­nal mu­sic for peo­ple of all ages,” he said.

Ry­der is the first WA act to be se­lected to play at the Birdsville Big Red Bash in Queens­land later this year, along­side head­lin­ers Missy Hig­gins, Kate Ce­ber­ano and Rus­sell Mor­ris.
