Crowd steps out in style

Broome Advertiser - - News - Robert Dougherty

The racing season is trotting along as Broome Turf Club reaches the halfway point in its program by celebrating Gentleman’s Day.

Crowds were last weekend decidedly sparse, however it was a chance for the men to strut their stuff as 12 stylish punters stepped forward for a gentlemen’s edition of Fashions on the Field.

Residents may be waiting patiently for the pointy end of the season as the upcoming major events approach such as the Woodside, Kimberley and Broome cups.

Trainers are also keen to be seen at the races with a bonus $50,000 sponsored by Roebuck Bay Hotel to any horse which can win all three events.
