The Broome Advertiser and sister paper The Kimberley Echo have teamed up with several local businesses for a reader competition offering thousands of dollars worth of quality prizes.

The lucky winner of the Ultimate Kimberley Getaway will enjoy three nights in Broome and Kununurra, worth more than $10,000.

First-class accommodation will be provided at the Moonlight Bay Suites and Hotel Kununurra and the winner will be flown to each destination by carrier Airnorth.

Unforgettable daily experiences will be thrown in, including a halfday Broome Bluewater Fishing charter, a one-day Cygnet Bay and Giant Tides Adventure from Kimberley Wild and Cygnet Bay, with morning tea at Beagle Bay and then onwards to the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm for lunch, followed by a cruise through the Sunday Island group of the Buccaneer Archipelago on the Giant Tide tour.

And to top it all off, see Broome from a whole new perspective with a KAS Helicopters scenic 30minute flight. The Kununurra leg of the competition will include a Bungle Bungle Guided Tour into the breathtaking Cathedral Gorge and the sandstone striped domes of Purnululu, a majestic Aviair flight from Kununurra over Lake Argyle to the Bungle Bungles, returning over the Argyle Diamond Mine, and an 18-minute Helispirit scenic helicopter flight departing from Purnululu for great photographs of the Bungle Bungle.

Along with all the great memories, the lucky winner and one other person will get to take home a piece of the Kimberley, with unique prizes from both regions.

A nine-carat gold boab-shaped pendant with a champagne diamond will be given away by Kimberley Fine Diamonds and the winner will get to hang a piece of Broome with a stunning Yane Sotiroski Photography image.

Broome Advertiser sales manager Ashlie Williamson said the competition was about giving something back to loyal readers while showcasing what the region had to offer within a growing tourism market. “We value our loyal readers across both mastheads and want to give something back,” Ms Williamson said.

“We aim to showcase that some of the best getaways are often in our backyard.”

For your chance to enter, look for the code word in the Broome Advertiser or The Kimberley Echo each week from today.

The competition closes on Sunday, August 27.
