Call to join Cable Beach competition
Tenacious triathletes are being encouraged to take on the task of this year’s Cable Beach Triathlon in a team.
This year’s Leading Edge Computers Cable Beach Triathlon is right around the corner, starting on Sunday, September 17 at the Broome Surf Lifesaving Club.
Broome Tri Club’s Katie Cartwright said competitors have the option of kids, enticer, sprint and Olympic distances with team categories available in each.
“Competitors of all fitness levels and abilities are encouraged to enter,” she said.
The triathlon enticer distance is a 375m swim, 10km ride and 3km run. The sprint distance is a 750m swim, 20km ride, 5km run and the Olympic challenge is 1500m swim, 40km ride and 10km run.
Online registrations will close on Friday, September 15, however, registrations can still be made in person at Leading Edge Computers in Broome until 1pm on the Saturday.
All registered triathletes are required to pick up their race pack from Leading Edge Computers on Saturday, September 16 between 9am and 1pm.
