Wit­nesses sought over street at­tack

Broome detectives have launched an ap­peal for wit­nesses af­ter a 57-year-old man was se­ri­ously as­saulted on the street.

Po­lice al­lege the man was stand­ing on a sec­tion of foot­path on Anne Street, near the Dora Street in­ter­sec­tion, when he was at­tacked about 7.30am on March 26.

The in­jured vic­tim was ini­tially treated at nearby Broome Re­gional Abo­rig­i­nal Med­i­cal Ser­vice be­fore be­ing con­veyed to Broome Hos­pi­tal.
