Indigenous art bound for overseas

Broome Advertiser - - News - Jakeb Waddell

When three Derby artists completed their impressive indigenous pieces, they were excited to have them hang in their local gallery but had no idea they would be on display around the globe.

Works by Patrina Bedford, Tanisha Wungundin-Allies and Edna Dale will be displayed in company boardrooms in Spain, India and China after Sheffield Resources gift them to customers this year.

The resources company will present them with a picture of the artist and the story behind the work to acknowledge customer agreements for the proposed Thunderbird mineral sands project, between Broome and Derby.

The pieces were created at Norval Galleries Derby.
