Easter a challenge for decent catch

Broome Advertiser - - Sport - Sara Hennessy

Fishing over Easter can have its challenges.

With the huge tides and season-changing weather events, the bite can be hot or not.

For us, it was the latter as we struggled to catch anything of a decent size and were confronted with a series of rain squalls in the Inland Sea, just north of Derby.

When the sun did come out, we were treated to some beautiful conditions with the waterfalls cranking, the ocean being the perfect temperature and stunning golden sunsets. While we had a miss, other Derbyites recorded smashing sessions on the Barra at Kimboulton and Telegraph Pool with large numbers of undersize barra caught in the creeks closer to Derby.
