Break­fast a vote of thanks for vol­un­teers

The paramedics and staff at St John Am­bu­lance’s Broome de­pot gave thanks to vol­un­teers around town by hold­ing a Na­tional Vol­un­teer Week break­fast on Wed­nes­day, May 23.

A va­ri­ety of food was served for ev­ery­one to en­joy, in­clud­ing ba­con and egg rolls, plenty of cof­fee from the Kim­ber­ley Cof­fee Com­pany, fruits, muesli and juices.

Na­tional Vol­un­teer Week, which ran from May 21 to May 27, is the an­nual cel­e­bra­tion that ac­knowl­edges the con­tri­bu­tions of Aus­tralia’s vol­un­teers.

Vol­un­teer­ing Aus­tralia said the theme for Na­tional Vol­un­teer Week 2018 was “Give a lit­tle, change a lot”.
