Clippers eclipse B-Town Ballerz

The Clippers came from be­hind to score their first win of the sea­son over the B-Town Ballerz in round 4 re­cently.

It was the Ballerz that built up the early lead, with the Clippers still find­ing their rhythm.

The Ballerz con­tin­ued to ex­tend their lead into the sec­ond quar­ter, while the Clippers were de­ter­mined to keep the dis­tance nar­row, lead­ing to an eight-point mar­gin at half-time.

Fol­low­ing the main break, it seemed the Clippers were try­ing to stage a come­back as they re­turned to the court with a new pep in their step.

Al­though the Ballerz were de­ter­mined to achieve their first win of the sea­son, the Clippers man­aged to steal the lead late in the third quar­ter, set­ting up an in­tense fi­nal-quar­ter show­down. In the fi­nal quar­ter, both teams stepped up the fire and in­ten­sity as they were both hun­gry to get their first win of the dry sea­son com­pe­ti­tion, and it was the Clippers that pre­vailed, 56-44.

Else­where, the Mis­fits scored their sec­ond suc­ces­sive vic­tory over the Red­backs, 41-31, the Orl Blaks held off the Roost­ers, 30-27, and the Hor­nets beat Gantheaume Point­ers, 52-29.

Both teams were de­ter­mined to notch their first win of the sea­son.

In an in­tense fi­nal-quar­ter show­down, it was the Clippers that pre­vailed.
