SPRING has truly arrived at The Shoe Fringe with this season all being about colour, comfort and style. Anne and the team are all ready for the spring racing season with an amazing array of individual and colourful fascinators and clutches.

Owner Anne Canniford said nude, pastel pink and rose gold were big winners for this season.

“Red, yellow, pink, orange, white and cobalt blue are still popular and there are some beautiful black and gold and black and white fascinators with matching clutches,” she said.

“When it comes to creating your own personal style for the races or a special event, using a pop of colour, a contrasting texture or some sparkle will help create a beautiful finished and polished look to any outfit.

“Don’t be afraid to wear a large fascinator or a bold lipstick like our model and make up artist Leigh Carney from Make Up Your Moment.”

Fashion is something Anne knows a lot about having operated The Shoe Fringe for 12 years in October. Over that time The Shoe Fringe has grown substantially. The last expansion was April 2014 when they grew into the next door shop.

It was a great opportunity to increase the range of handbags, wallets, fascinators and to also introduce our ranges of dresses, shirts and skirts.

The Shoe Fringe stocks your everyday shoes, handbags and jewellery but specialises in special occasion shoes, evening bags and jewellery for proms, weddings, mother of and special events.

“We at The Shoe Fringe love nothing better than helping you accessorise your outfit with shoes, jewellery and bag for your big event.”

For Anne it is all about her clients being able to walk into a local store and be greeted as the friend that they have grown to be.

“Good specialty stores will remember your likes and dislikes and when ordering stock will keep you and your needs in mind.

“But one thing never changes, for me owning a boutique is meeting the loveliest people and being privileged enough to be able to share in some of their celebrations in a small way.

“The old adage of there are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met yet holds true at The Shoe Fringe.”
