SUMMER. When you google this season, it comes up with descriptions for heat. OK, that’s an obvious one when living in Australia, but colour, refreshment, fun and a million ways to stay cool and look your best when hitting the beach are also synonymous with the season.

Thankfully in this edition of Style magazine we have all that and more for you to feast your eyes on and start planning your summer entertainment.

For me, summer is a wonderful time to get out with my family and make the most of the fact the sun goes down that little bit later so you feel like you are getting every ounce of enjoyment out of each day.

As someone with fair skin, sun safety and skincare are big factors in my summer schedule and in this edition we share the latest products from Ella Bache that allow you that sun-kissed beauty without all the harsh rays.

If you are looking for a relaxed and cool way to enjoy your summer, you can’t go past the Burnett Riverside Motel’s H20 Restaurant and Bar. As you can see from the cover and following feature, head chef Jason Slade has worked hard to create a menu that is full of flavour and makes the most of fresh, local produce. With stunning views of the Burnett River, here is the place to sit back and watch the world go by. Whatever your tastes this summer, embrace the beauty of the region and explore the colour and delight it has to offer for all ages.
