Green award for ICC Sydney
THE International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), has been awarded LEED Gold for its efforts in sustainability.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a ratings system developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
The certification recognises ICC Sydney for reusing 100,000m³ of concrete from the original brownfield site, using 96% recycled steel in the Exhibition Hall, Australia’s largest electric car charging station, solar panels and more.
The solar panels produce 5% of the venue’s energy.
