IF YOU can smell something funny at next week’s Helsinki International Horse Show, then you’re not wrong.
The event will be powered entirely by some good old fashioned horse manure.
Producing the energy needed for the event requires the annual manure output of 14 horses or an estimated 135 tonnes of poo.
It is believed to be the first major horse show in the entire world to be entirely powered by horse manure.
Held at the Helsinki Ice Hall, over 250 horses “delegates” will be staying at the site for the event.
