IN­TER­CON­TI­NEN­TAL Ho­tels Group (IHG) has an­nounced the ad­di­tion of Ho­tel Indigo Ade­laide Mar­kets to its port­fo­lio, with the ho­tel set for open­ing in 2020.

The 16-storey bou­tique ho­tel on Mar­ket Street will fea­ture 137 rooms, meet­ing spa­ces, gym and level four pool with sun deck.

Ab­hi­jay Sandilya, IHG’s se­nior di­rec­tor of de­vel­op­ment – Aus­trala­sia, said the Ade­laide Cen­tral Mar­ket was a “lo­cal des­ti­na­tion that has de­vel­oped its own dis­tinct iden­tity and cul­ture, so we know that vis­i­tors will love a ho­tel that can cap­ture that essence and de­liver a unique ex­pe­ri­ence”.

MEAN­WHILE Atura Ade­laide Air­port has of­fi­cially opened for busi­ness, of­fer­ing 165 rooms in a new seven-storey de­vel­op­ment.

Linked to the ter­mi­nal plaza, it also fea­tures a busi­ness cen­tre, eight event spa­ces for up to 320 peo­ple, Han­gar Bar & Grill and the Meet­ing Point Cafe.
