A RECORD num­ber of del­e­gates at­tended the Alibaba Group’s flag­ship eCom­merce expo last week­end, with 9,100 vis­i­tors ar­riv­ing at the International Con­ven­tion Cen­tre (ICC) to learn how to tap into the eCom­merceen­abled Chi­nese econ­omy.

The two-day event fea­tured a full day con­fer­ence on Sat, with key­note speak­ers in­clud­ing Ja­nine Al­lis, founder and di­rec­tor of Boost Juice Bars and Re­tail Zoo, Oliver Horn, man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Suisse Wellness and Rachael Gor­man, global strat­egy di­rec­tor for Seafolly.

The event also gave at­ten­dees the chance to ex­pe­ri­ence Alibaba’s aug­mented re­al­ity re­tail tech­nol­ogy, the Alibaba Cloud, as well as the op­por­tu­nity to meet with Chi­nese buy­ers.

The con­fer­ence heads to Mel­bourne next month, tak­ing place at the Mel­bourne Con­ven­tion and Ex­hi­bi­tion Cen­tre from 18-20 Oct.
