Sin­ga­pore’s home-grown hos­pi­tal­ity brand fo­cuses on em­pow­er­ing trav­ellers to Re­fresh, Re­fuel and Recharge

As busi­ness trav­ellers know, life on the road can take its toll. Rest­less sleep, poor diet, no time for ex­er­cise and miss­ing the com­forts of home are com­mon gripes for road war­riors.

It was with these is­sues in mind that Oasia was con­ceived. Launched in 2011 by Far East Hos­pi­tal­ity, the brand is ded­i­cated to giv­ing cor­po­rate trav­ellers a re­ju­ve­nat­ing stay that en­com­passes the holis­tic as­pi­ra­tions of a bal­anced lifestyle.

Three pil­lars of well­ness lie at the core of this phi­los­o­phy: Re­fresh, Re­fuel and Recharge. Re­fresh epit­o­mises qual­ity rest in a com­fort­able and peace­ful en­vi­ron­ment; Re­fuel sym­bol­ises nour­ish­ment through qual­ity sus­te­nance; and Recharge presents guests with op­por­tu­ni­ties to in­vig­o­rate the mind and body.

With these cen­tral prin­ci­ples, com­bined with the best of Asian hos­pi­tal­ity, Oasia has es­tab­lished it­self as the des­ti­na­tion of choice for busi­ness and leisure trav­ellers seek­ing well­ness as part of their travel ex­pe­ri­ence.

The de­but Oasia prop­erty, Oasia Ho­tel Novena, Sin­ga­pore launched in 2011 with 428 rooms in the prime Novena district. Lead­ing Ja­panese and Sin­ga­porean architects col­lab­o­rated to cre­ate a restora­tive re­treat, with cut­ting-edge de­signs and plenty of nat­u­ral el­e­ments. A high­light is the award-win­ning club lounge The Liv­ing Room, with healthy cui­sine, barista ser­vice and ex­clu­sive pool fa­cil­i­ties.

Since then, the brand has gone from strength to strength, with three new open­ings in 2016. Oasia Ho­tel Down­town, Sin­ga­pore, the flag­ship prop­erty, opened in April 2016 in the heart of Tan­jong Pa­gar. Like a ver­ti­cal gar­den, the trop­i­cal sky­scraper stands out from the ur­ban jun­gle with an iconic red fa­cade cov­ered in lush green­ery and an abun­dance of ope­nair spa­ces, in­clud­ing 30-metre-high sky ter­races. The 314-room prop­erty fea­tures a sep­a­rate club floor, with an in­fin­ity pool over­look­ing the city sky­line.

In April, the brand also ex­panded re­gion­ally, with the open­ing of Oasia Suites Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Within walk­ing dis­tance of the city cen­tre, the prop­erty is ad­ja­cent to KL For­est Eco Park, of­fer­ing busi­ness trav­ellers a con­ve­nient, re­lax­ing en­vi­ron­ment. A range of ac­com­mo­da­tion is on of­fer, in­clud­ing one- and two-bed­room rooms and suites – all with kitch­enettes, liv­ing ar­eas and wifi, mak­ing them ideal for both tran­sit and long stays.

The fourth of­fer­ing in the col­lec­tion is the first ser­viced res­i­dence un­der the brand – Oasia Res­i­dence, Sin­ga­pore, which opened in Oc­to­ber 2016. Lo­cated in the west of Sin­ga­pore near busi­ness parks and ed­u­ca­tion in­sti­tu­tions, the new prop­erty of­fers 140 units (from studio to three­bed­room) and rep­re­sents a true “home away from home”, with fully equipped kitchens, wash­ing fa­cil­i­ties and more. In keep­ing with the well­ness am­bi­tions, guests can en­joy ac­cess to two swim­ming pools, a gym, ten­nis court and spa.

With four prop­er­ties now in the col­lec­tion, Oasia looks for­ward to wel­com­ing more guests to a respite in the heart of the city.
