JOURNEY WELL WITH OASIA
Singapore’s home-grown hospitality brand focuses on empowering travellers to Refresh, Refuel and Recharge
As business travellers know, life on the road can take its toll. Restless sleep, poor diet, no time for exercise and missing the comforts of home are common gripes for road warriors.
It was with these issues in mind that Oasia was conceived. Launched in 2011 by Far East Hospitality, the brand is dedicated to giving corporate travellers a rejuvenating stay that encompasses the holistic aspirations of a balanced lifestyle.
Three pillars of wellness lie at the core of this philosophy: Refresh, Refuel and Recharge. Refresh epitomises quality rest in a comfortable and peaceful environment; Refuel symbolises nourishment through quality sustenance; and Recharge presents guests with opportunities to invigorate the mind and body.
With these central principles, combined with the best of Asian hospitality, Oasia has established itself as the destination of choice for business and leisure travellers seeking wellness as part of their travel experience.
The debut Oasia property, Oasia Hotel Novena, Singapore launched in 2011 with 428 rooms in the prime Novena district. Leading Japanese and Singaporean architects collaborated to create a restorative retreat, with cutting-edge designs and plenty of natural elements. A highlight is the award-winning club lounge The Living Room, with healthy cuisine, barista service and exclusive pool facilities.
Since then, the brand has gone from strength to strength, with three new openings in 2016. Oasia Hotel Downtown, Singapore, the flagship property, opened in April 2016 in the heart of Tanjong Pagar. Like a vertical garden, the tropical skyscraper stands out from the urban jungle with an iconic red facade covered in lush greenery and an abundance of openair spaces, including 30-metre-high sky terraces. The 314-room property features a separate club floor, with an infinity pool overlooking the city skyline.
In April, the brand also expanded regionally, with the opening of Oasia Suites Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Within walking distance of the city centre, the property is adjacent to KL Forest Eco Park, offering business travellers a convenient, relaxing environment. A range of accommodation is on offer, including one- and two-bedroom rooms and suites – all with kitchenettes, living areas and wifi, making them ideal for both transit and long stays.
The fourth offering in the collection is the first serviced residence under the brand – Oasia Residence, Singapore, which opened in October 2016. Located in the west of Singapore near business parks and education institutions, the new property offers 140 units (from studio to threebedroom) and represents a true “home away from home”, with fully equipped kitchens, washing facilities and more. In keeping with the wellness ambitions, guests can enjoy access to two swimming pools, a gym, tennis court and spa.
With four properties now in the collection, Oasia looks forward to welcoming more guests to a respite in the heart of the city.
