PREMIUM ERROR

Business Traveller (Asia-Pacific) - - INBOX -

Firstly, let me say I enjoy your magazine and have done so for many years. However, like so much modern journalism today, lack of knowledge and information is all too frequent. In your June edition, you state that Qantas will be “introducing Premium Economy later this year”. Qantas has had this class for many years. Bernard Beston, Australia

BUSINESS TRAVELLER ASIA-PACIFIC RESPONDS: Thank you for getting in touch and glad to hear you enjoy Business Traveller Asia Pacific.

You’re absolutely right, of course, Qantas introduced a premium economy class back in 2008 on its B747.

In our Snapshot feature in the June issue, what we meant to refer to was the new Qantas premium economy product scheduled to launch on the carrier’s B787-9 Dreamliner in December. But as you correctly point out, this was not made clear in the article.

Apologies for this discrepancy, unfortunately mistakes do sometimes slip through but we always appreciate our eagle-eyed readers keeping us on our toes!
