GRAND HYATT has entered the market in China’s Hunan province with the Grand Hyatt Changsha – about 20 minutes from the Wuyi business district. LANSON PLACE’s new Tianfu Square Serviced Suites by Lanson Place opened its doors in Chengdu last month. Oneto three-bedroom units are available with facilities including a Sky Garden. ROSEWOOD HOTELS AND RESORTS has opened its second hotel in China, the Rosewood Sanya. All 246 of its rooms, which range from 68 sqm to 680 sqm, face the ocean, with 45 having balcony plunge pools. SOFITEL has opened its first property in the Malaysian capital. The Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara is part of an integrated complex about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. ST REGIS HOTELS AND RESORTS has made its debut in Kazakhstan. The St Regis Astana is located within Astana’s Central Park, close to the Khan Shatyr Entertainment Center, Astana Opera and foreign embassies. THE ASCOTT LIMITED will be getting a sixth serviced residence in the Indonesian capital. The 192-unit Ascott Sudirman Jakarta is scheduled to open in 2018. THE STRAND YANGON has unveiled details of the final stage of its 18-month-long renovation project, which includes a new outdoor swimming pool, dining terrace, therapy rooms, gym and private garden.
