GRAND HYATT has en­tered the market in China’s Hu­nan prov­ince with the Grand Hyatt Chang­sha – about 20 min­utes from the Wuyi busi­ness dis­trict. LANSON PLACE’s new Tianfu Square Ser­viced Suites by Lanson Place opened its doors in Chengdu last month. Oneto three-bed­room units are avail­able with fa­cil­i­ties in­clud­ing a Sky Gar­den. ROSEWOOD HO­TELS AND RESORTS has opened its sec­ond hotel in China, the Rosewood Sanya. All 246 of its rooms, which range from 68 sqm to 680 sqm, face the ocean, with 45 hav­ing bal­cony plunge pools. SOF­I­TEL has opened its first prop­erty in the Malaysian cap­i­tal. The Sof­i­tel Kuala Lumpur Da­mansara is part of an in­te­grated com­plex about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur In­ter­na­tional Air­port. ST REGIS HO­TELS AND RESORTS has made its de­but in Kaza­khstan. The St Regis Astana is lo­cated within Astana’s Cen­tral Park, close to the Khan Shatyr En­ter­tain­ment Cen­ter, Astana Opera and for­eign em­bassies. THE ASCOTT LIM­ITED will be get­ting a sixth ser­viced res­i­dence in the In­done­sian cap­i­tal. The 192-unit Ascott Sudirman Jakarta is sched­uled to open in 2018. THE STRAND YANGON has un­veiled de­tails of the fi­nal stage of its 18-month-long ren­o­va­tion project, which in­cludes a new out­door swim­ming pool, din­ing ter­race, ther­apy rooms, gym and pri­vate gar­den.
