Thai Airways receives its first B787-9 Dreamliner

Business Traveller (Asia-Pacific) - - UPFRONT -

Airways has taken delivery of its first B787-9 Dreamliner, which will operate the airline’s Singapore route until its deployment to Auckland and Taipei on November 16.

The aircraft is an improvement on Thai Airways’ existing six B787-8 Dreamliners, which have a smaller capacity and shorter range than the B787-9.

The new aircraft gives Thai the ability to fly to new destinations – such as North America – directly, though the current schedule has it staying in Asia-Pacific.

Meanwhile, the airline’s longdelayed A350 upgauge on its Melbourne services has finally taken off, a year after it was originally planned to begin. thaiairways.com
