ACCORHOTELS has opened its first prop­erty in Mon­go­lia, the vividly coloured Ibis Styles Ulaan­baatar Po­laris, of­fer­ing 95 rooms in the city’s Khan Uul dis­trict. AN­DAZ SIN­GA­PORE opened last month, mark­ing South­east Asia’s first An­daz-branded ho­tel, and the first new Hy­att prop­erty to open in Sin­ga­pore since 1971. DORSETT SHANG­HAI has in­ducted a new robot, V Jr, into its guest ser­vices team, which pro­vides guests with in­for­ma­tion on the ho­tel and nearby at­trac­tions. HARD ROCK IN­TER­NA­TIONAL has opened its first ho­tel in main­land China, the Hard Rock Ho­tel Shen­zhen, where guests can rent mu­si­cal in­stru­ments and equip­ment dur­ing their stay. IN­TER­CON­TI­NEN­TAL HANOI LANDMARK72 has taken the man­tle of tallest ho­tel in the city fol­low­ing its re­cent open­ing. The ho­tel is lo­cated on the 62nd to 71st floors of the Landmark72 in­te­grated com­plex. MANTRA GROUP, one of Aus­tralia’s largest small- to medium-sized ho­tel op­er­a­tors, looks set to join Accorhotels next year fol­low­ing an ac­qui­si­tion agree­ment signed by the two ho­tel com­pa­nies. THE ATHENEE HO­TEL, A Lux­ury Col­lec­tion Ho­tel, Bangkok has opened fol­low­ing its full ren­o­va­tion and re­brand from the former Plaza Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meri­dien Ho­tel. It is lo­cated in the grounds of Princess Valaya Alongkorn’s former royal res­i­dence. W SUZHOU re­cently opened its doors to guests, com­bin­ing a mix of funky and tra­di­tional style.
