AEROMEXICO and Japan Airlines are targeting a new codeshare agreement some time in the 2018 financial year that is expected to include 12 routes within Mexico. AIR NEW ZEALAND has received the first of its new-look B787-9 Dreamliners, which come with a greater number of Business Premier and premium economy seats. DELTA now offers free in-flight text messaging via Whats App and Facebook Messenger for all travellers aboard its Gogo-enabled aircraft. EVA AIR is looking to launch non-stop flights to Vienna next year, cutting out the current stopover in Bangkok. HONG KONG AIRLINES has confirmed it will begin flying nonstop to San Francisco starting next March, and also plans to start flying to New York in 2018. KENYA AIRWAYS has axed its flights to Hong Kong and Hanoi as part of a series of cost-cutting measures, though it will be keeping its Bangkok and Guangzhou flights. QATAR AIRWAYS has extended its pre-order dining service to first and business class passengers on longhaul routes to Asia and Africa. UNITED’s B747 flew its final international flight last month from Seoul to San Francisco, ahead of its full retirement on November 7.
