AEROMEXICO and Ja­pan Air­lines are tar­get­ing a new code­share agree­ment some time in the 2018 fi­nan­cial year that is ex­pected to in­clude 12 routes within Mex­ico. AIR NEW ZEALAND has re­ceived the first of its new-look B787-9 Dream­lin­ers, which come with a greater num­ber of Busi­ness Pre­mier and pre­mium econ­omy seats. AMER­I­CAN AIR­LINES is launch­ing its daily Los An­ge­les-Bei­jing ser­vice this month us­ing its Boe­ing 787-8 Dream­liner, which un­like the B787-9, does not have a pre­mium econ­omy cabin. CATHAY PA­CIFIC is up­ping fre­quen­cies to Fukuoka in De­cem­ber, as well as Tel Aviv and Barcelona in March and April next year. DELTA now of­fers free in-flight text mes­sag­ing via Whats App and Face­book Mes­sen­ger for all trav­ellers aboard its Gogo-en­abled air­craft. EVA AIR is look­ing to launch non-stop flights to Vi­enna next year, cut­ting out the cur­rent stopover in Bangkok. HONG KONG AIR­LINES has con­firmed it will be­gin fly­ing non­stop to San Fran­cisco start­ing next March, and also plans to start fly­ing to New York in 2018. KENYA AIR­WAYS has axed its flights to Hong Kong and Hanoi as part of a se­ries of cost-cut­ting mea­sures, though it will be keep­ing its Bangkok and Guangzhou flights. QATAR AIR­WAYS has ex­tended its pre-or­der din­ing ser­vice to first and busi­ness class pas­sen­gers on long­haul routes to Asia and Africa. UNITED’s B747 flew its fi­nal in­ter­na­tional flight last month from Seoul to San Fran­cisco, ahead of its full re­tire­ment on Novem­ber 7.
