Plaza Premium has lost the contract to operate Cathay Pacific’s lounges at Hong Kong International Airport to French company Sodexo. On the reason for the change, an airline spokesperson stated: “Cathay Pacific reviews its suppliers regularly as part of prudent business practice. We invited potential operators to a vigorous tender process last year and Sodexo has been appointed.” The first lounge to change hands will be The Deck (formerly Dragonair G16 lounge), which is set to reopen soon, with other departure lounges following throughout 2018. Plaza Premium will continue to operate Cathay Pacific’s facilities in Bangkok, Manila, Taipei, London, Vancouver, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
