CAM­ERA MAG­A­ZINE IMAG­ING AWARDS 2017 PRE­SEN­TA­TIONS

REG­U­LAR READ­ERS WILL know we an­nounced the win­ners in our an­nual Cam­era Mag­a­zine Imag­ing Awards in the last is­sue, and these were pre­sented by ed­i­tor Paul Bur­rows at the Cam­era House 2016 AGM Gala Din­ner in Syd­ney. Cam­era House has been the spon­sor of the Cam­era Mag­a­zine Imag­ing Awards for the last three years.

1. Fu­ji­film Aus­tralia’s Frank Bite re­ceives the two awards which were won by Fu­ji­film prod­ucts this year – the X-Pro2 (Pro­fes­sional Mir­ror­less Cam­era) and X-T2 (En­thu­si­ast Mir­ror­less Cam­era).

2. Newly-ap­pointed man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Nikon Aus­tralia, James Mur­ray, re­ceives the award for the Nikon D500, win­ner of the En­thu­si­ast Dig­i­tal SLR cat­e­gory

3. Mar­wan Sarayeldin from C.R. Kennedy & Com­pany ac­cepted awards on be­half of Pen­tax (for the K-70 which won the Con­sumer D-SLR cat­e­gory) and Zeiss (for the Otus 28mm f1.4 which won the Prime Lens cat­e­gory).

4. Pana­sonic Aus­tralia’s Se­nior Prod­uct Man­ager Imag­ing, Doug Camp­bell, with the award for best Zoom Lens which went to the Lu­mix Le­ica DG Vario-El­mar 100-400mm f4.0-6.3 ASPH Power OIS. Doug had a busy night as Pana­sonic also won with the Lu­mix GX85 (best Con­sumer Mir­ror­less Cam­era) and the Lu­mix TZ110 (best Dig­i­tal Fixed-Lens Cam­era).
