CAMERA MAGAZINE IMAGING AWARDS 2017 PRESENTATIONS
REGULAR READERS WILL know we announced the winners in our annual Camera Magazine Imaging Awards in the last issue, and these were presented by editor Paul Burrows at the Camera House 2016 AGM Gala Dinner in Sydney. Camera House has been the sponsor of the Camera Magazine Imaging Awards for the last three years.
1. Fujifilm Australia’s Frank Bite receives the two awards which were won by Fujifilm products this year – the X-Pro2 (Professional Mirrorless Camera) and X-T2 (Enthusiast Mirrorless Camera).
2. Newly-appointed managing director of Nikon Australia, James Murray, receives the award for the Nikon D500, winner of the Enthusiast Digital SLR category
3. Marwan Sarayeldin from C.R. Kennedy & Company accepted awards on behalf of Pentax (for the K-70 which won the Consumer D-SLR category) and Zeiss (for the Otus 28mm f1.4 which won the Prime Lens category).
4. Panasonic Australia’s Senior Product Manager Imaging, Doug Campbell, with the award for best Zoom Lens which went to the Lumix Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm f4.0-6.3 ASPH Power OIS. Doug had a busy night as Panasonic also won with the Lumix GX85 (best Consumer Mirrorless Camera) and the Lumix TZ110 (best Digital Fixed-Lens Camera).
