GOOD-BYE L&P, HELLO SPECULAR

Camera - - WHAT’S NEW -

LONG SERVING Sydney-based professional photo supplier, L&P Digital Photographic, has closed its doors after 38 years of operation. L&P was the Australian distributor for a number of brands including Phase One, Sekonic, Pocket, Induro, Rodenstock and Alpa, but over the decades has represented many others, including Profoto, Tenba and Think Tank Photo. The company has also been very actively involved in industry events, providing both sponsorships and technical support.

L&P’s departure had the potential to leave a gap in Sydney’s professional imaging market, but Melbourne-based Specular has announced that it will be opening a new showroom in the city. Specular has been closely associated with L&P and has taken over the sales and support for some L&P products, most notably the Phase One digital medium format capture systems.

Specular’s managing director, Rory Shinners, comments, “We have an 11year history of supplying and supporting some of Australia’s best photographers from our Melbourne showroom. Now it’s time to bring our unique offering to Sydney”. Rory also thanked L&P for its “…long-time commitment and service to the Australian photographic community. L&P have been great friends, and their presence in the industry will be sorely missed”. For more information, visit www.specular.com.au
