4K video in an entry-level camera, “Designed to provide an easy path from a smartphone to a real camera and all the potential creative image-making that entails, the EOS M50 is termed ‘entry-level’, but in reality is well enough featured to satisfy many enthusiasts. It has a 24.1 megapixels ‘APS-C’ CMOS sensor with an improved version of Canon’s excellent ‘Dual Pixel CMOS AF’ and a built-in EVF. The EOS M50 delivers quality images in low light conditions and can record 4K video, as well as HD at 120 fps for slow-mo effects. The body is small and lightweight, with a fully-articulated touchscreen LCD monitor. When it comes to sharing and connectivity – an important aspect of encouraging smartphone photographers to convert – the M50 has Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth, plus the capability to automatically transfer images to a smartphone as they are taken.”
