COROP has a new community implementation plan following last week’s council meeting.
The plan, which was released in conjunction with similar plans for Girgarre and Gunbower, will reinforce existing community plans and outline community projects and direction for the next 12 months.
‘‘Each of these communities have enthusiastic residents who are keen to see their community develop and attract visitors to their towns,’’ Campaspe Shire mayor Adrian Weston said.
‘‘These plans outline key developments the communities would like to see in the next 12 months, and reflect on past achievements.’’
Key projects identified include the development of new events in Corop and improving the environment around Lake Cooper.
‘‘Each plan has been developed in close consultation with the local community, taking into account what is already being done in each town, the potential for increasing economic and tourism opportunities and the facilities available,’’ Cr Weston said.
