More charges af­ter Ba­mawm burglary

AN­OTHER per­son has been charged over the ag­gra­vated burglary in Ba­mawm last month.

An 18-year-old Bendigo man has been charged over the in­ci­dent which saw a mother at­tacked, po­lice chase a stolen ve­hi­cle and a car crash on Novem­ber 30.

Charged with ag­gra­vated burglary, burglary, theft and theft of a mo­tor car, the man has been bailed to ap­pear in Echuca Mag­is­trates Court on Fe­bru­ary 14.

Dean West, 26, of Bendigo, ar­rested in Golden Square on Novem­ber 30, has also been bailed to the same date, charged with theft of a mo­tor car of­fences.

Kashani Stokes, 22, is wanted by po­lice af­ter fail­ing to ap­pear in Bendigo Mag­is­trates Court on De­cem­ber 1.

She is charged with ag­gra­vated burglary and theft-re­lated of­fences.

De­tec­tive Se­nior Constable Ber­nadette Wadding­ton of Cam­paspe Crime In­ves­ti­ga­tion Unit said a 17-year-old woman had also been in­ter­viewed re­cently about the in­ci­dent.

‘‘She has not been charged at this stage but is likely to be in the fu­ture,’’ she said.

Two men and two women al­legedly at­tended a farm in Mid­dle­ton Rd, where a mother was as­saulted and some prop­erty stolen.

It is al­leged a 26-year-old man was forcibly taken from the home but man­aged to flee to a nearby farm­house.

A woman then al­legedly stole a Pa­jero from the prop­erty, with po­lice pur­su­ing her to Lock­ing­ton where she was ar­rested.

The oth­ers fled in their own ve­hi­cle which crashed in Rochester, be­fore al­legedly steal­ing a farm­ing ute which was found in Kan­ga­roo Flat later that day.
