More charges after Bamawm burglary
ANOTHER person has been charged over the aggravated burglary in Bamawm last month.
An 18-year-old Bendigo man has been charged over the incident which saw a mother attacked, police chase a stolen vehicle and a car crash on November 30.
Charged with aggravated burglary, burglary, theft and theft of a motor car, the man has been bailed to appear in Echuca Magistrates Court on February 14.
Dean West, 26, of Bendigo, arrested in Golden Square on November 30, has also been bailed to the same date, charged with theft of a motor car offences.
Kashani Stokes, 22, is wanted by police after failing to appear in Bendigo Magistrates Court on December 1.
She is charged with aggravated burglary and theft-related offences.
Detective Senior Constable Bernadette Waddington of Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit said a 17-year-old woman had also been interviewed recently about the incident.
‘‘She has not been charged at this stage but is likely to be in the future,’’ she said.
Two men and two women allegedly attended a farm in Middleton Rd, where a mother was assaulted and some property stolen.
It is alleged a 26-year-old man was forcibly taken from the home but managed to flee to a nearby farmhouse.
A woman then allegedly stole a Pajero from the property, with police pursuing her to Lockington where she was arrested.
The others fled in their own vehicle which crashed in Rochester, before allegedly stealing a farming ute which was found in Kangaroo Flat later that day.
