Stu­dents go cross coun­try to Echuca

TWENTY stu­dents from Rochester Pri­mary School from grades 3-6 went to Echuca to com­pete in the cross coun­try on Wed­nes­day.

They qual­i­fied for this event by run­ning in­side a cer­tain time at the Rochester Cross Coun­try.

‘‘The chil­dren pro­duced some out­stand­ing re­sults, with ev­ery child run­ning as hard as they could dur­ing the race,’’ Rochester Pri­mary School’s Steven Ras­mussen said.

‘‘Their at­ti­tude, de­ter­mi­na­tion and ef­fort was out­stand­ing and they did the school proud.

Five chil­dren qual­i­fied to go to the next stage in St Ar­nauds.

‘‘This is the most chil­dren we have ever had qual­ify for the next stage,’’ Mr Ras­mussen said.

Char­l­ize Weeks (12th), Jor­dan Town (12th), Blake Roul­ston (12th), Nate Ras­mussen (9th) and Bowen Meloury (10th) all qual­i­fied.

‘‘Great work to all the chil­dren and good luck to the kids go­ing on to the next stage,’’ Mr Ras­mussen said.

Rochester Pri­mary School stu­dents were all smiles af­ter com­pet­ing in the cross coun­try evfent in Echuca last week.
