Students go cross country to Echuca
TWENTY students from Rochester Primary School from grades 3-6 went to Echuca to compete in the cross country on Wednesday.
They qualified for this event by running inside a certain time at the Rochester Cross Country.
‘‘The children produced some outstanding results, with every child running as hard as they could during the race,’’ Rochester Primary School’s Steven Rasmussen said.
‘‘Their attitude, determination and effort was outstanding and they did the school proud.
Five children qualified to go to the next stage in St Arnauds.
‘‘This is the most children we have ever had qualify for the next stage,’’ Mr Rasmussen said.
Charlize Weeks (12th), Jordan Town (12th), Blake Roulston (12th), Nate Rasmussen (9th) and Bowen Meloury (10th) all qualified.
‘‘Great work to all the children and good luck to the kids going on to the next stage,’’ Mr Rasmussen said.
Rochester Primary School students were all smiles after competing in the cross country evfent in Echuca last week.
