Bank has cash for community groups
APPLICATIONS are now open for the Elmore/Lockington/Rochester Community Bank branches Community Sponsorship Program.
In its third round, the Community Sponsorship Program is open to all organisations and groups in the Elmore, Lockington and Rochester districts.
Lockmore Financial Services chair Brad Drust, who will assess the applicants, said they were excited to again be receiving applications that would support local programs, projects and events
‘‘We gave away over $40,000 in our first two rounds of this funding program,’’ he said. ‘‘This was all made possible thanks to the customers of the Elmore/ Lockington/ Rochester Community Bank.’’
Senior branch manager Tracie Kyne said the more customers banked with them the more the company could invest in the community.
‘‘It’s simple,’’ she said. ‘‘With many other banks turning their backs on regional towns like ours we once again prove our commitment to this community.’’

Previous recipients of Community Bank sponsorship include Lockington Pre-school, St Joseph’s Primary School Rochester, Strathallan Landcare, Elmore Memorial Hall, Elmore Cemetery, Pine Grove CFA, Community Bank Rochester Netball Invitational, Lockington Action Club, Rochester United Cricket Club, Lockington Community News, Lockington Bush Nursing and Rochester Little Athletics.
