Ju­niors up­hold dis­ci­pline

Rochester Foot­ball Club un­der 16 play­ers Ben At­ley, Adam McPhee, Bro­den Evans (cap­tain) and Kyle Water­stook with their team’s award for the most dis­ci­plined team in the Shep­par­ton District Ju­nior Foot­ball League.

ROCHESTER has been recog­nised as the most dis­ci­plined team in the un­der 16 Shep­par­ton and District Ju­nior Foot­ball League com­pe­ti­tion.

The Tigers fin­ished out­side of fi­nals this year at ninth on the lad­der, but achieved its own ac­co­lade at this year’s league pre­sen­ta­tion and vote count.

They were pre­sented with the un­der-16 most dis­ci­plined team award which is a credit to all play­ers and coaches John At­ley, Joel Wa­ters and Mick Hais­man.

Dur­ing the sea­son Adam McPhee, Nathan Kay and Ben At­ley were cho­sen for rep­re­sen­ta­tive matches.

The Tigers year started with a lot of prom­ise win­ning three of the first four matches, un­for­tu­nately los­ing the next six and then re­group­ing late in the sea­son to post three straight wins be­fore go­ing down to Echuca White in the fi­nal round.

They ended with six wins and eight losses de­spite en­ter­ing most games with just 18 play­ers.
