League honours its young stars

THE HEATHCOTE and District League 2017 award pre­sen­ta­tion was held on Sun­day with sev­eral young play­ers from the Cam­paspe re­gion re­ceiv­ing awards.

El­more Foot­ball Net­ball Club had three ju­nior play­ers tak­ing out awards, with Re­gan Sparkes win­ning the 15 and un­der league best and fairest, Bai­ley Boy­ack was the un­der 17s run­ner-up best and fairest and Mitch Cri­celli took out the un­der 17s league goal kick­ing.

Leitchville-Gun­bower’s Jack­son McEwen was awarded the 2017 ris­ing star award and Macey Br­ere­ton took out the 17 and un­der best and fairest.

And Lock­ing­ton-Ba­mawm’s Ella Roul­ston fin­ished as the 15 and un­der run­ner-up best and fairest.

Col­binab­bin’s Liam Vale spoils his op­po­nent in the re­serves foot­ball HDFL pre­lim­i­nary fi­nal.
