Market day is party day

ROCHESTER Town Market is turning four.

The community-driven market is celebrating with one of the biggest markets yet on Saturday, September 23.

Rochester Community House coordinator Amanda Logie said there will be plenty to do.

‘‘There will be cake of course,’’ she said.

‘‘We are also going to have fairy floss, face painting and Animals of Oz who we have had in the past.

‘‘So there will be all different types of animals on show for the kids and the brave adults to enjoy.’’

Ms Logie said she is particularly excited to have local singer Anthony Lucas performing.

‘‘He is coming back from LA to perform at the market which is great,’’ she said.

‘‘There will be all our great stall holders, as well as a colouring competition.’’

This year the market is opening up to Rochester businesses for free.

‘‘Any local businesses who have stock they want to clear out or who want to set up a stall they will be able to do so for free,’’ she said.

‘‘We want to involve as many people in the community as possible.’’

For more information or to book a stall contact 5484 3600.
