Car trou­ble for Rochy man

A SE­RIAL pest has ap­pealed his six-month jail term over driv­ing of­fences.

Rochester’s Christo­pher Lang­don-Avis, 27, was sen­tenced in Moama Lo­cal Court on Wednes­day af­ter plead­ing guilty to driv­ing while dis­qual­i­fied and us­ing an un­reg­is­tered ve­hi­cle.

Lang­don-Avis was caught driv­ing an un­reg­is­tered car while his li­cence was dis­qual­i­fied on June 14 at De­niliquin.

Mag­is­trate Roger Clis­dell sen­tenced Lang­don-Avis to six months’ prison with no pa­role and dis­qual­i­fied him from driv­ing for two years.

His ap­peal date has been set for Oc­to­ber 16 at Grif­fith Dis­trict Court.

An ap­peal is also pend­ing for a charge of pos­sess­ing a pro­hib­ited drug.
