Plan to give carers more support
CARERS are people who provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue or who are frail aged.
Carers come from all backgrounds and range from the very young to the elderly.
Caring may include emotional, social and physical support. The chances are you are a carer, need a carer or know a carer.
Rochester Community House would like to start a Carers Support Group for the local and surrounding district.
The group would aim to provide information, peer support and recreational opportunities for local carers with monthly meetings.
If you are interested in joining the group, please provide your expression of interest to Amanda at Rochester Community House on 5484 3600.
