Rochy man be­hind bars

A SE­RIAL crim­i­nal fac­ing mul­ti­ple bur­glary, theft and driv­ing charges will spend the next two weeks be­hind bars.

Christo­pher Lang­don-Avis, 28, ap­peared in cus­tody via vide­olink in Echuca Mag­is­trates’ Court on Tues­day, May 8.

The Rochester man is charged with four counts of driv­ing while dis­qual­i­fied, two counts of un­li­censed driv­ing and breach­ing a com­mu­nity corrections or­der and sin­gle counts of fail­ing to stop on po­lice di­rec­tion, bur­glary, crim­i­nal dam­age, theft of a motor ve­hi­cle and drug driv­ing.

He is also on two lots of ju­di­cial mon­i­tor­ing for other crim­i­nal matters.

His lawyer Matt Ma­hady re­quested the matters be ad­journed to the same court on June 12.
