Club stands firm against the Bombers
ROCHESTER Tigerettes had success against the formidable Kyabram Bombers managing three strong wins on home turf.
U15s — Rochester 57 def. Kyabram 35
Both sides played a strong first quarter in the under 15’s with Rochester up by one goal at quarter time.
Hard, consistent work from Eliza Williams saw many intercepts and turnovers assisted by wing defender Gemma Marsh who applied persistent pressure in the defence end.
A change to the goaling end saw Tazarni Clarke and Teal Hocking shoot with great accuracy and brought Rochy to a 10-goal lead by threequarter-time.
Kasey Conder was strong in centre alongside Charlee Roulston in wing attack to help cement the win for Rochester.

U17s — Rochester 55 def. Kyabram 41
The under 17’s had a strong attacking game and gave it their all in a close contest.
Goaler Annie Hughes had her eye in all game, shooting with perfection, earning her best on court for the game.
Cassie Broad played a strong game up both ends taking solid intercepts.
Great drives down the court from Kasey Conder and Ella Roulston in centre helped open up the court.
The whole team gelled phenomenally together to finish off the game just as strong as they started and really boost their win.
Best: Annie Hughes and Cassie Broad.
B Res — Kyabram 40 Rochester 25
B-reserve had a tough game on their hands from the get go but the girls never let it get them down.
Excellent driving down the court, accurate shooting and slick movement in the ring from Grace Bubb earned her best on court.
Eliza Watson was sensational in goalkeeper with strong rebounds and classy intercepts to turn the ball over.
Kate Else ran out a superb game in wing attack with great drives down def. the court and defensive pressure down the court.
The girls fought finished second best.

B Grade — Rochester 56 def. Kyabram 37
It was a tight encounter in the first quarter for B-grade with both teams playing hard to win the ball.
The second quarter saw Rochester apply defensive pressure down the court to win the ball and convert it to goals.
Jamie Dingwall was excellent in defence picking off plenty of balls and taking strong rebounds.
Lil Ward was superb in centre with strong drives and accurate passes in the ring.
Zali Hocking was instrumental in defence creating turnovers and applying constant defensive pressure.
The girls never wavered in intensity all game and came away with a strong win.
Best: Jamie Dingwall, Lil Ward and Zali Hocking.
A Grade — Kyabram 36 def. Rochester 33
A Grade saw a very fast start to the game from both teams.
Maddy Egglestone and Bridgette Holt worked well together in defence pulling in many rebounds and intercepts.
A stoic Eesha Clarke came off after receiving a knock to the eye which then saw Teaghan Vallely come on into centre creating space and drive down the court.
Morgan Dingwall moved sensationally in the goal ring taking high flying rebounds and shooting accurately.
A strong second half from Rochester saw a great comeback to within one goal but the girls weren’t able to claw back the win and eventually went down by three goals.
Best: Teaghan Vallely, Morgan Dingwall and Bridgette Holt.
Let’s hope Rochy can continue the success and more next round against Euroa away. all game but
